the basics; i'm a little bit rusty when it comes to text based rp but i did rp a lot once upon a time and i've been writing + making ocs as a hobby-taken-very-seriously for about 15 years. i generally consider myself a semi-literate roleplayer, i guess? my post lengths are wildly inconsistent based on how much inspiration and energy i have at a given time but i always aim for things to be well written + move the story forward. i'm a quality over quantity guy, basically.
i do have a few pretty hard rules for potential partners. first of all, i only rp with other adults. i'm 27 and even for sfw rp i would prefer not to have to censor myself, and overall feel more comfortable with people roughly around my age- though as long as you're over 18 i don't care much.
- GMT timezone, though i suffer from insomnia and am often up at weird hours.
- i am chronically ill and cannot guarantee any particular speed or regularity of responses, though i do my best to communicate when i'm feeling bad and might take a while to respond. please be patient with me, and if you expect speedy or regular responses please look elsewhere.
- i consider myself semi literate but prioritise quality of response over quantity. generally this manifests in 1-3 paragraphs of response. i don't really care how much you write as long as it has decent grammar/spelling (i do not expect perfection dw) and gives me something to work from.
- i will only roleplay with adults, with a preference for 21+. i am 26, often dip into mature themes and topics, and would prefer not to have to censor myself, even for sfw roleplay.
- i prefer partners who want an ooc friendship. i like chatting about blorbos ooc, headcanoning, drawing our characters together, etc
- i would prefer to roleplay via a private discord server, though am open to discussing other methods.
- i do not do exclusive ships. most of my ocs are already partnered up, polyamorous, or otherwise unsuited to exclusivity, and those who aren't i frequently use for aus and other purposes. i am uncomfortable with anyone who expects me to only ship with them.
- i will write characters of any gender, orientation, age (as long as they're adults), etc. i am fine with human, monster, and anthro characters, though would rather not roleplay ferals (this does not include quadruped but sentient/intelligent monsters like dragons)
- i have little tolerance for ooc bigotry, or general rude/asshole behaviour, though ic is fine within reason. i'm a big believer in separation between ooc/ic and reality/fiction and don't care if your character has some bigoted or problematic views, or is not always a perfectly pleasant person, but if they're just a flat out raging bigot or asshole i probably won't have any interest in roleplaying with them.
- basic rp etiquette is a must. no godmodding, metagaming, perfect flawless characters, all that stuff. my character's views towards yours do not reflect my views towards both you and your character.
- for fandom roleplay, i am not interested in roleplaying canon characters, and have a fairly high degree of lore compliance for my ffxiv ocs in particular. for other fandoms i'm willing to get more fucky with different aus and canon divergence.
i will draw:
- nsfw; see here for separate nsfw terms/wills + wonts.
- humanoid, anthro and feral characters. monster characters are on a case by case basis.
- both ocs and canon characters
- selfship and oc/canon
- characters and ships of all genders, body shapes, races, species and orientations
- really, if it's not listed below, i'm probably willing to draw it!
- hateful or bigoted content
- excessive gore (mild gore is fine)
- overly complicated characters
- heavily muscular characters
- imitations of other art styles that are not my own
- anything else i feel uncomfortable with or incapable of achieving to a satisfactory quality, at my discretion
